‘When planning a party for 90 guests for my husband's 70th birthday I happened upon a website which sent our various party requirements out across the county. Within 15 minutes I had had a reply from Jo of Hibiscus. Her telephone manner was extremely pleasant and we had a friendly discussion about what sort of food we would prefer. The next morning I received a suggested menu and budget through the letterbox. Not only had the response been unusually prompt and businesslike, but the buffet suggested incorporated exactly the tastes and presentation I was looking for. As it happened, we downsized our party, but decided to use Hibiscus anyway. We settled on the same buffet for half the people. Just as Jo was about to leave she showed me a picture of a giant paella cooked on site and outlined that sort of event. This seemed the perfect, more relaxed, way to run the party and I knew my husband and family would love it. We went ahead with our Spanish theme and it was a tremendous hit. The food, from stunning canapes through to yummy puddings, was simply delicious...so fresh and tasty. And we had wonderful compliments from all our guests. The evening could not have run more smoothly. Jo and Chris arrived promptly at the time promised and moved into my kitchen. The waitresses were so personable and looked after laying the tables, serving drinks and canapes, clearing, etc., under Jo's supervision. No request was too much. And when my husband saw that they had even washed the kitchen floor he was delighted! I could not recommend this young team more highly. They are innovative, resourceful, efficient, and have great taste, bringing a touch of modern London cuisine to Beaconsfield. We are lucky to have them.’ Sally, Beaconsfield

As importantly they took a vague brief and came up with the perfect menu to add some style and flair to compliment a casual spring BBQ. For a newly working mum with a toddler the fact that I didn't have to worry at all about the food, the setting up or the clearing away was a godsend; and the fact that Jo, as a guest at the christening, still took control of making sure everything was in the right place, dressings were made up and decanted and food was uncovered and placed at the right time was incredibly helpful and much appreciated. ‘Jo and Chris at Hibiscus Events organised and ran a Sunday drinks party for us in January and we were thrilled with everything. Chris arrived with supplies and installed himself in the kitchen during the morning and Jo made sure all the drinks, glasses, etc were presented well before everyone arrived. We spent the morning walking the dog and getting ourselves ready. Coats were taken, drinks brought on trays and the most delicious and beautiful canapes were served at exactly the right interval. The food was so interesting and Jo and Tanya explained to us what each one was. Drinks and food continued to be served throughout the party with quiet charm and at no time did we, as hosts, need to do anything except enjoy ourselves.
